Description
A quiet story of resilience beneath an autumn moon.
A rabbit leaps across Moon Rabbit, surrounded by a crescent moon and windblown grasses. The pocket, scattered with tiny rabbits, carries the story across the garment.
In Japanese tradition, the Moon Rabbit is closely associated with the moon and the autumn moon-viewing season. Below it, hand-stitched Blowing Grasses (Nowaki) depicts grasses bending in a strong autumn wind – a motif that evokes flexibility and resilience, bending without breaking.
Together, the motifs create a small autumn landscape: the wind moves through the grasses, the rabbit continues forward, and the moon remains above.
